This Privacy Policy explains what information we gather when you use the Cosmio app, why we collect it, and how it is protected. By using Cosmio, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Birth Data
To provide personalized astrological content, Cosmio collects the following information during onboarding: – Birth date – Birth time – Birth location (city name) This data is used solely to calculate your astrological chart (sun sign, moon sign, rising sign) and generate personalized horoscopes. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any purpose other than delivering the core features of the app.
3. Device Identifier
Cosmio does not require you to create an account with an email address or password. Instead, we use an anonymous device identifier to associate your data with your device. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally and is used only to save and retrieve your profile and preferences.
4. AI Processing
To generate personalized horoscopes and astrological insights, your birth data is sent to the OpenAI API. OpenAI processes this information to produce the content you see in the app. We send only the minimum data required (birth chart details) and do not include any personally identifiable information. OpenAI’s data handling is governed by their own privacy policy, available at openai.com/privacy.
5. Subscription & Payments
Cosmio offers a premium subscription at $3.99/month, which includes a 30-day free trial. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details or billing information. Subscription management (including cancellation) is done through your device’s App Store or Google Play account settings.
6. Data Storage
Your profile and astrological data are stored on our secure servers in a SQLite database. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Data is retained for as long as you use the app or until you request deletion.
7. Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time. To submit a deletion request, contact us at support@cosmioapp.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once your data has been removed from our systems.
8. Children’s Privacy
Cosmio is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at support@cosmioapp.com and we will promptly delete the data.
